I joined the world of media in London after graduation as an Advertising Sales Executive for undergraduate magazines. My next step was to join AMRA where I sold several newspapers titles such as Isle of Wight County Press, The Reading Evening Post and later after being bought by Trinity Mirror, Scottish & Universal Newspapers. I was then enticed into working for a recruitment advertising agency as an Account Executive. Although I thoroughly enjoyed this role (and the Company), I wanted to return to Scotland and landed a position as a Senior Sales Executive with the new daily newspaper in Scotland, Business AM. This was an exciting challenge I needed and after 18 months, I went backpacking around the world for just under a year. On my return I decided I needed a career change and moved back to London. When I heard about the position at Scottish Radio Holdings I thought this was the perfect opportunity to not only experience a career change but within a different medium too!
