I
started my career in media at Aberdeen Journals
working on sales support material for Press &
Journal and Evening Express advertising sales teams.
In 1996 I joined the Marketing Information Department
at the Scotsman Publications working across their
portfolio of titles. After a brief spell as a sales
executive on the agency sales team I returned to
head up their Research Department, a challenge I
thoroughly enjoyed as The Scotsman Publications
was in the process of developing their titles including
the launch of The Scotsman’s S2 section. My
next move was to Glasgow, joining the Daily Record
and Sunday Mail to head up their consumer research
function. When the role of Research Manager at Scottish
Radio Holdings became available I decided that it
was the fresh exciting challenge I was looking for
following 8 years in newspapers. My move to SRH
bases me at Radio Forth in Edinburgh but my role
takes me across the entire SRH network from Inverness
to Southampton and across to Belfast supporting
the programming & sales teams with their research
requirements.
