On the 31st December 1973, as the clock struck 10.30pm, the music started, the mic was opened and the legend began. Radio Clyde was on air. It was one of the first commercial radio stations to broadcast in the UK and Radio Clyde was then and is now the single most successful station in the whole of the UK.
